This 8"x13" Lock-Top II chimney cap/damper fits the INSIDE dimensions of the flue liner 6"x9" to 9 ½"x12 ½" and has an overall height of 11 3/8” Use this great 3-in-1 damper when you can't find a damper plate that is missing or rusted out; especially good in old homes where there is no damper assembly. The Lock-Top II is virtually air-tight, sealing the chimney off at the top, helps prevent heat & air loss within the home and is capable of adjusting to different opening positions from the inside, just as a normal damper plate would do. The Lock-Top II, has a stainless steel lid attached to a cast-aluminum frame by an array of stainless spring wires. This exclusive design prevents the chimney from collapsing completely closed, should a fire occur. To help prevent those persistent, pesky critters, a special stainless steel Gelco cap has been added which makes the Lock-Top II unique. It comes with 30' of cable (also available in 50' cable, sold separately) which is dropped from the top of the chimney thru the flue and is operated with a handle mounted in the firebox.
